Edumark trains 57,000 pupils on leadership skills
Chief Consultant, Edumark, Mrs. Yinka Ogunde, has said that about 57,000 pupils were selected for training on leadership skills as a means to transform Nigeria.
She said this at one of the training sessions organised for the pupils in Lagos, themed, ‘Dare to lead’.
Ogunde who was represented by Mrs. Flourish Adeniyi, explained that 57,000 pupils were picked for the training to commemorate Nigeria’s 57 years of independence.
She said, “We bring up 57,000 young Nigerians in secondary schools to come together to move the country forward. We are inspiring them on patriotism and promotion of unity.
“We need to preach peace and prosperity because every one needs to play their part in this ship called Nigeria together.”
The keynote speaker, Mr. Norrison Quakers (SAN), told the pupils that they had a role to play in the development of the country.
He also urged them to aspire for leadership positions with an aim to reform the country.
Another inspirational speaker and Chief Executive Officer, Dimension Edibiz and Associates, Mr Akin Benjamin, told the pupils not to neglect education as they aspired to lead.
“You need to finish school no matter what you want to become,” he added.
